Aubrey Dalton’s life as a single mother is anything but easy, the last thing she needs to complicate it is getting mixed up with the local biker gang. Ryder had a dysfunctional childhood at best which is why he’s never chosen to settle down. That and the fact that life in as the president of a MC consumes every minute of his day. But when he meets Aubrey, the single mom who happens to look like a Playboy centerfold, he rethinks his priorities. The only problem is that he needs to keep Bree alive long enough to get to know her and her endearing kids because she’s been targeted by his old enemies and they don’t seem to care if they take innocent lives in order to get to him.

Cherie Hewitt did a great job in terms of creating a hero and heroine one could like. Aubrey was smart, vulnerable, sweet, caring, & cautious. Ms. Hewitt did a great job in showcasing that fine line between strength and vulnerabilityMany times I read a novel where the author tells me something about the characters but; that isn't what is shown in the developing plot. In this case I believe that Aubrey had worked as a nurses aide. I believed she was a single mom, I believe she was alone in the world and I believe she had internal strength, that would allow her to survive a life with a man like Will Ryder.
I believe a man like Will Ryder would be drawn to Aubrey, be drawn to her softness; as well as the hardness and would be as protective and possessive and caring as he was. As president of a motorcycle club Will has to be a leader and strong and invulnerable at all times. And he was, except with Bree he was allowed to be a partner and a father. He was allowed to have a safe harbor. He was allowed to create a home and that is what made this book a five star for me.
Romance wasn't sacrificed for plot. Plot wasn't sacrificed for sex; and the characters weren't sacrificed for genre. I will definitely be reading Ms. Hewitt again.

I really enjoyed this book immensely. I loved the characters, all of them. Will Ryder was definitely all alpha male but found his equal in Bree. I especially how their family came together and I didn't feel like it was rushed. I read a ton of books but I need to get better at writing reviews because sometimes I read other's reviews, but having said that I just had to review this one. Read this you won't be disappointed. I am looking forward to future books. Fan for life!
This book was a wonderful surprise! I can't remember how it got on my TBR list, but I'm happy it did! The story was well plotted, carefully crafted, and ultimately told in significant detail, enough for you to care that the h, Aubrey and the H, Will get their HEA. This was a really good read and I totally recommend it!
I have read many MC books. Some fantastic, some good and some that just fall flat. Disciple was fantastic. I love a good romance and sex scenes are great, but when every other page is another sex scene it starts to get repetitive and mundane and nothing but filler. Disciple was NONE of that. Sure it has some really spicy scenes, but it also has a really great plot and story line. Great writing. Great characters and dialogue. The first part of the story dragged just a smidge for me, but once it picked. It really picked up. No cliffey which is awesome. Just an all around great story. Can't wait for more books by Cherie Hewitt. *5 stars* all the way
This book was phenomenal...the characters were absolutely fantastic...heroine was strong! Loved her personality, she at times came across b*tchy but then ya learn why D cant tell, will spoil the story for ya...ya just need to read this book , it has great character development...not too much dialog, just enough to really scoop you up & carry ya away...*sigh*
the thing is I really hope this turns into a series I wanna learn about the rest them hot bikers..as far as sweet butts/club whores...muddying up the story? not to worry ...in this story their was only a couple & they only popped up twice or so...no infidelity....ending was fabulous...definitely recommend to EVERYONE!
This was a really good story. Aubrey "Bree" is a single mother of two doing the best she can. She works with her best friend Samantha "Sam". One night Sam calls Bree to help her, Bree gets to Sam's house and meets Mr. Tall Dark and Handsome. The rest as they say is history. The book needs editing, some typos such as cloths instead of clothes.
This was an Outstanding READ , thoroughly enjoyed the Book , loved the way Ryder totally fell for Aubrey (Bree/Kitten) Had Everything you want in a book HOT S€x , Lots of Action , Great Story, Awesome Writing , loved how Bree could Kick Arse when needed... Ryder was Amazing to Bree's two we children ,loved how they all just Latched on the one another & how Ryder as The Clubs Prez was only really sweet to them even when dealing with the rescue towards the end he was bringing this terrific terrifying Prez all the while holding a scared & sleeping 3yr old Chloe, I really loved this Book & hope to read many more in this series from this author... Well Worth Your Time and Money Go One Click this Book You Won't be Disappointed -)
4 1/2 stars. I thought this was one of the better MC books I have read in a while. Sex scenes are spicy, but not overdone. Great characters, lots of action. I realize a lot of MC books out there are considered NA, and I appreciated the maturity of the actions and dialogue of the characters. I realize the h is still young--early 20's, but she is strong and acts like a woman well beyond her years. The H is a good alpha male lead, who is fun to watch as he adjusts to family life. The bikers are tough, without seeming corny (something I am finding in a lot of books these days). The H and his crew are not necessarily "angels", but they do lean toward being the "good guys". It had some grammatical/editing errors, but not enough to take away from the story for me. I thought it was a great first book from a promising new author.
